Welcome to The First Tee of Hampton Roads YMCA, the home of junior golf in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Located next to Virginia Beach National Golf Club, we are a year-round program that introduces kids to the challenges and rewards of the game of golf.
The First Tee of Hampton Roads YMCA is comprised of three locations. Our 55-acre Virginia Beach facility includes:
- Nine-hole course
- Driving range
- Putting green
- Short-game practice area
- Learning center/clubhouse
Our 40-acre Upshur Neck facility located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia includes:
- Nine-hole golf course
- Driving range
- Short-game practice area
Our Lambert's Point program operates from the Lambert's Point Golf Course in downtown Norfolk, and includes:
- 7,500 sq. ft. chipping area
- 10,000 sq. ft. putting green
- Covered, gas-heated driving range
Staff and volunteers at The First Tee of Hampton Roads YMCA includes two PGA professionals, Kristal Swem and Brandon Fitch. Our team of qualified golf instructors assists in all programs, under professional supervision.
Our programs include The First Tee certification program, junior golf summer camp, Friday junior golf tournaments, family golf time, Big T Little T tournaments and individual lessons.
