The First Tee of Hampton Roads YMCA is dedicated to offering high quality services, programs and instruction at the finest of facilities. The First Tee provides children and families with a wholesome environment to enjoy the game of golf while gaining life skills that can be used both on and off the course.

As a member of The First Tee Hampton Roads YMCA, you are entitled to a variety of benefits (depending upon the membership type that you choose) including unlimited access to the driving range, practice greens, and 9-hole golf course. It is recommended that you call first to determine availability of the golf course and/or practice areas.  The First Tee of Hampton Roads YMCA membership is for the Virginia Beach location only. 

The First Tee builds character in children through educational programs which incorporate life skills and golf skills. See what these young golfers had to say about what they learned:

Sportsmanship: Bad sportsmanship means winning but then you gloat and brag and tease the loser. You have bad sportsmanship if you lose then cry, get mad, and throw a fit. Good sportsmanship is winning and saying "good game" and shaking hands. If you lose, you still congratulate the winner. (Patrick, age 10)

Honesty: I think honesty is the most important core value. It is what drives the whole game. Telling the truth about your score is better than being dishonest to yourself and the people you are with. If you kick the ball and don't tell anyone, you'll feel so guilty. If you want to win, you have to play fairly. With honesty, you have the roots of all the core values. (Dylan, age 11) 

Membership Dues

Monthly: You have the opportunity to spread the cost of your membership over 12 months. Make convenient and interest-free payments monthly through automatic bank draft. Members receive complimentary greens fees and range balls, as well as a $10 discount on lessons and camp, when choosing this payment method. YMCA of South Hampton Roads Members: $10 monthly (individual or family) Prospective-YMCA of South Hampton Roads Members: $20 monthly (individual or family)

Annual: Membership can also be paid in full for one year, effective from the date of joining. Members receive reduced rates on greens fees and range balls when choosing this payment method. Individual: $35 Family: $70
