Welcome to The First Tee of Hampton Roads! We are a premier youth development organization here in your community, internationally part of The First Tee founded by the PGA and locally, a program of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads. We are located next to Virginia Beach National Golf Club, in the Princess Anne area of Virginia Beach. The First Tee of Hampton Roads is a year-round program that introduces kids far more than the game of golf—we teach nine character values, nine healthy habits and life skills that we encourage our participants to practice throughout life.

The First Tee of Hampton Roads is comprised of five program locations: our 55-acre Virginia Beach facility includes a nine-hole walking executive course, driving range, enhanced putting green, short-game practice area and Learning Center/Clubhouse. On the Eastern Shore, our 40-acre Upshur Neck facility includes a nine-hole golf course, driving range and short-game practice area. Our Golf Program Locations, where we hold classes and special programs only are located in Norfolk at Lambert’s Point Golf Course, Suffolk at Cedar Point Country Club, Franklin at Cypress Cove Country Club and in Moyock at The Golf Club at Eagle Creek. Our newest location in Virginia Beach at Little Creek Amphib Base, will serve military families specifically and will begin programming in the Fall of 2017.

Staff and volunteers at The First Tee of Hampton Roads include PGA professional consultants, and a team of qualified golf instructors assists in all programs, under professional supervision. Our programs include The First Tee Golf & Life Skills Certification Program, weekly Summer camps, junior golf tournaments every Friday, memberships to our Virginia Beach golf course, family golf time, Big T Little T tournaments and private lessons.
